SAML is an XML-based open-standard data format for exchanging authentication and authorization data between an identity provider (IdP) and a service provider (SP). SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) allows users to request access to DoubleDutch events through their respective IdP.
DoubleDutch currently supports SAML 2.0, SP-initiated requests.
In order to configure SAML SSO with DoubleDutch, the following information is required:
- IdP Name: [text]
- IdP Metadata File: [attachment]
- IdP token-signing Certificate: [attachment]
- Technical Contact Email: [text]
If a metadata file is unavailable from your IdP, please provide the following:
- IdP Name: [text]
- Entity ID: [text]
- SSO Endpoint URI: [text]
- IdP Token-Signing Certificate: [attachment]
- Technical Contact Email: [text]
Additionally, the following Attributes must be defined in your SAML Assertion Requests. Note, all attributes are case-sensitive.
- SAML_SUBJECT: The SAML_SUBJECT must be the user’s unique email address
- FirstName: User’s first name
- LastName: User’s last name
- UniqueID (optional): User’s unique identifier to be used for personal agenda or 2-way favoriting.
If your app will be available in the iTunes and Google Play stores, a test account (and credentials) must be provided in order to successfully test and publish your application.
